Cat
Behavior Counselor
If you really want your cat and your life to change, let me show
you how.
I consider myself privileged to get the tough cases. After cat owners
like you have tried one
feline behaviorist after another, after they’ve been to
veterinarians who don't actually specialize in cat behavior and
psychology, even after the owners have made their way to the local
humane society – they get a referral and that's when I meet them
for the first time. Time and again, I am able to help
them, and I will be able to help you.
“I just can’t believe how easy it was,” cat owners tell me once
we’ve fixed the problem. Now I finally understand
how my cat thinks." That's the key: how your cat
thinks. Most cat owners assume either that cats think
like the owners, or that they share the more familiar -- but
extremely different -- psychology of the dog. I make a point of educating my human clients,
working with them so they can deal with later challenges on their own.

problems!
The most helpful way to help your cat is to conduct a detailed case history and behavior summary
for each cat in your household, as well as other animals and
even humans. Your cat's problem usually lies in its
environment, from the cat colony to the larger ecosystem around
it. That's why my treatment plan will treat the cat that
has the behavior problems as well as other pets and people in
the area. Owners and other pets in the
household often contribute to, reinforce, or directly trigger
the problematic behavior. Our treatment will be most
effective if we take the time to look at every
facet of your cat's life.
Our first goal will be to understand what triggers your cat's
behavior. We can often eliminate the problem simply by
removing this trigger. Still, it's natural for a
habit to have formed so strongly that the negative behavior continues even
after the trigger is removed. If we aren't able to find or
remove the cause of the
misbehavior, I will counsel you on how to use behavior
modification techniques on your cat and substitute new, healthy habits.
Coaching Cat
Owners for Results That Last
By the time cat lovers talk to me, they've done everything they
can think of and gotten no results. They're quite discouraged.
Sometimes their relationship with their cat has become strained and has deteriorated
to the point that the triggers of misbehavior have become even
more plentiful. Without understanding the cat psyche and
being pro-active, owners can create stressful environments that
they can no longer control. That's why I will teach you
how to understand the way your cat thinks and to develop positive and predictable
ways to interact with your cat.
