Exciting
News!! Mieshelle has just recently signed contracts with
producers seeking to create a companion show to
"The Dog Whisperer"!
It's exciting to think the most popular pet in America (the
cat!) will finally have a show on T.V. to better educate owners
on the cat and its behaviors.
Her latest study of animal
behavior was at
Harvard University.

expert advice in:

Mieshelle Nagelschneider is a
nationally known veterinarian-referred feline behaviorist who
has consulted with cat owners across the United States to solve
their cat's behavior problems. In addition to nearly five years
working with veterinarians, and 18 years working professionally
with cats ranging from domestic cats to large exotics of the
tiger family, Mieshelle is also one of the referred Feline
Behavior Consultants for the Cat Adoption Team of
Oregon, a 140-cat no-kill shelter in Tualatin, Oregon as
well as on The Oregon Humane Society's Resource Page for
Animal Behaviorists. Her in-depth knowledge and
understanding of the cat psyche has helped her to better educate
the cat owner and, most importantly, to help your cat!
In addition to donating her time
and services to cat owners who find her through THE CAT
ADOPTION TEAM and THE OREGON HUMANE SOCIETY (where she
has also volunteered with her dog "Annabelle" in the Animal
Assisted Therapy Program) Mieshelle is a medically trained
and experienced veterinary assistant. Mieshelle was
also nominated Pet Sitter of the Year 2003 (Pet
Sitters International).
Mieshelle is also a popular resource for veterinary practices,
wild cat sanctuaries, and other animal shelters needing expert
advice on feline behavior. She has also been asked to be an
expert witness on cat behavior in a recent court
case.
Says Mieshelle, "I have been caring
for animals since I began to walk -- dogs, cats, horses, birds
-- and have cared for them professionally since 1989, when I
began to study for my Veterinary Certification Exam. A few
years ago, I realized cat owners are under-served and began to
focus my new client development exclusively on
cat care -- which sometimes means care of their owners
too."
Mieshelle has run a gratifying and
successful
cat behavior consulting practice, "The Cat Behavior Clinic"
for cat owners across the United States.

Nagelschneider
is her real name, it's German for "nail clipper," and
we're not making that up. She's also known for her
uncanny ability to trim any cat's nails with no restraint.
Cat owners who normally have to sedate their cats for a nail
trim by their vet are accepted by Mieshelle.
